Cable cord stuck on the back of my tv?

Bought a brand new 47 inch Vizio flat screen and a week into owning I found out my wife got the cable cord stuck on the connection on the back. It is in a very awkward spot, thanks Vizio, and it will turn in both directions but isn't loosening or tightening. So how do i get it off? Cut it? WD-40 and elbow grease? Thanks
